Authentic Taiwanese food. Food is as good as what I got in Taiwan. Great service and very reasonable price and portion. They have parking, but I prefer to park at Skyview mall and walk there. Can't beat $3 for 3 hour parking and not having to deal with traffic on Main Street.

Excellent typical Taiwanese breakfast on the weekends. Breakfast begins at 08:00 and is perfect for someone working overnight. Food is cheap and comes out very quickly. Takes credit card of you didn't being enough cash. Highly recommend the scallions pancake with eggs. Most of the stuff is very filling so it may take you a few weekends to try it all.

OK Ryan was... Just OK. Came here for breakfast, it was alright but I found the rice from the rice ball a bit too mushy for my taste. I also found the egg pancake to be too soft off my taste.

Service wasn’t the greatest, though the servers were all very nice. The food was good. Not 100% sold on the stinky tofu...tofu skillet dish was yum!

I’m almost hesitant to leave a review for this place as I don’t want this place to get more packed than it already is. Having been literally eating here as my school cafeteria for the last year, I can truly attest to the quality of food here and the depth of their menu. This small and unassuming place is literally the best Taiwanese food you can get in NYC. A lot of Taiwanese places offer small snack dishes like oyster pancake and minced-pork rice, but this is only place that also serve the “big” Taiwanese dishes involving seafood and other more exotic ingredients. On the weekends, between the hours of 8-11A, Ryan also serves traditional Chinese/Taiwanese breakfast. Their crullers are always freshly fried along with their soybean milk in sweet/neutral/salty variations. There’s even a large variety of egg pancakes and 3 different types of rice balls. Did I mention the menu at this Ryan is extensive? Tip: you can order from their regular menu during breakfast hours if you want something other than breakfast. They do have a lunch bento special Monday thru Saturday. The price is really hard to beat, but you pay for it in terms of being served school cafeteria food. However, you can instead choose to order dish over rice combo before 4P or do the 3-dish family special if you’re really hungry. They also do catering. I guess you’ll have to speak to the manager to make arrangements, but I swear, a third of their business comes from catering orders. There’s always trays of food during the weekdays when I’m picking up my food. Service is super friendly, but this may be a biased opinion given how much I frequent the place. Last thing, parking has improved slightly recently with the addition of space #3. You can now park at space #3, #4, and #5. However, parking still gets pretty ridiculous during the busy hours like lunch and weekend breakfast. Your best shot at parking is either at the SkyView Mall or test your luck at the surrounding small streets.
